Putting Your
Dreams on Paper

Introductions

When you have decided to build a custom home with TimberCross Homes, the first step is for the client and builder to meet. We will sit down to discuss your desired outcomes, the general scope of the project, and any other details you would like in your new home.

Planning & Design

The fun part begins: designing a home to meet all of your needs and wants. This is the step where we develop a concept plan to suit your family. Our design professionals start by developing a schematic plan and then work with you to refine the details. The outcome of this phase is to establish the design and construction contract – a set of documents that outlines the plans, specifications, and budget for your new home. We will guide you through this entire process and keep your best interest at heart.

Milestones and Viewings

During construction there are three formal viewings of your new home. The first is after shingles and electrical are in place, which will allow you to review the layout. The second is after the drywall is complete, where you can get a better feel for the space. The third is a ‘New Home Orientation’ two weeks prior to closing, which allows you to see the finished product. At Timbercross this is our favourite meeting as we get to witness our clients’ reactions to seeing their stunning new home in its completed state.

Closing and Moving In

The day you have been anticipating has finally arrived – closing day. This is when we exchange keys and close the transaction, and the house is yours to enjoy. However, this is not the end of our builder-client relationship. We want this to be the beginning of an excellent long-term customer service relationship.
